Understanding song lyrics

In Literacy we have been learning about song lyrics. we listened to one song. they were by  Ben E King and the song is called stand by me. we then looked at the lyrics and what they meant. the song is about someone being afraid of the dark but it's ok good my darling I was beside them

Things that bug me

In writing we are learning to create ideas. first we brainstormed as a class what buds us. We asked Mr M what bugged him. Mrs Mg then gave us 8 minutes to quickly write our ideas down.

how to write a good blog comment

the last two week we have been creating a slideshow to tach others hoe to write a quality blog comment. A quality blog comment must have positive thoughtful and helpful. I found it hard to find all of the right shapes. I found it easy to pick all of the colours

Winnebagose

On Saturday me and mum went to her mum's friends birthday party we

went to Winnebagose.

First we got into the car at 6 o’clock with Debbie and we went to

the one and Winnebagose in Christchurch. When we got there

I got a raspbian coke and my

mum got a wine. After a while we ordered our dinner it an hour

for them to bring it out of the

kitchen. I got a delicious carbonara pasta when it came

out looks like the king pasta. After we had dinner I so our

waitress smashed a plate with a pizza on it it would have

been so embarrassing for that waitress. I could hear everybody

talking about the smashed plate afterwards. Then the waitress

come over and we got a dessert pizza and a coke the dessert

pizza had bananas with chocolate over top of it and 4 scoops of

ice cream. After that we went home and watch the Warriors play.

It was a great night at Winnebagose because I loved the food.

this week we are learning to write a recount I decided to write about

going to Winniebagoes. my goal is to put wow words into my writing and

making it makes sense

Winter Recipe

First we brainstormed Winter related words use to measure when cooking . we then wrote ingredients for Winter using our our group brainstorms

Gaming

Today in writing we had to write a slam poem and we got to pick what we were going writing about. I picked gaming. First we had to plan on a piece of paper and then we put it onto the computer.I found it challenging to come up with sentences to relate to gaming, but it was easy once I managed to come up with a couple of sentences. .

This week in writing we have been learning to use wow words. We read the story ´´The Best part of me by Wendy Ewald. Next we brain stormed ideas about our best body part. This is my writing . What is your best body part and why?
 

ANZAC Biscuits

today we make ANZAC biscuits there are made of sugar,flour, rolled oats, golden syrup, butter - no eggs so they do not go off. they were put in the recipie  book in 1921.

Mum ,wives and children made the biscuits. Some were sent to soldiers and most of them were sold at fetes to raise money for the war.

they raised 6.5 million pounds for the nz war effort.

Flamethrower writing

In we have been learning about using wow words.We watched a slow motion video about a Flamethrower. then we brainstormed wow words and similes to describe the flame.
